Research
We do excellent research on prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of alcohol, tobacco, drugs, malnutrition, overweight, physical inactivity, and comorbidity, in a close collaboration with the health services – regionally, nationally, and internationally.
We establish new evidence at the highest level and at the same time integrate patient perspective, cost effectiveness and staff competence.
Our clinical research is cross-border, aims towards better health gain for the benefit of the individual patient, for the health services and for society at large. The outcome includes treatment efficacy and effectiveness, patient safety, physical and mental health, quality of life and socioeconomic conditions. This research relates to the large and still unused potential for improvement among persons with risky use, abuse and dependence of alcohol, tobacco, and drugs.
